In July 2013, Federal and State government introduced the the Certificate IV in NatHERS Assessment, developed in consultation with industry over a three-year period, was introduced as the minimum qualification for all NatHERS assessors.
Thermal Certificates are full qualified in Certificate IV in NatHERS Assessment and are able to assess your existing home to see its energy efficiency is and where improvements can be made.

The rating of existing home is not mandatory, but with the focus on the environment and how we can lessen our impact this will no doubt come in at some stage in the near future.
In the ACT, the rating of existing homes is mandatory when selling and has been very useful in finding out the what energy efficiency of existing homes are.
